Just released – The 12″ Cherry Smash EP from Indian Summer

Indian Summer - Cherry Smash

Formed by four Northern Virginia teens, Indian Summer was a staple of D.C. area all-ages scene in 1988 and 1989, playing Merrifield Community Hall, Arlington Women’s Hall and many a punk house party, a Positive Force show at d.c. space, and some of the first all-ages matinees at the Safari Club, documented recently in the book Live at the Safari Club: A People’s History of HarDCore. Indian Summer was on the forefront of D.C.’s post-hardcore explosion, when punks took the sound and energy of hardcore and infused it with a new spirit of creativity and musical exploration. The band played on all-ages hardcore bills with Swiz, Shudder to Think, Ignition, Vile Cherubs, Edsel, Outcrowd, Images and many more.

This release is really limited unlike those other RSD releases with only 8000 copies…

This old school nugget recorded back in 1989 and finally released on vinyl in 2019 is in short supply.

Limited edition of 294. That’s right less than 300 slabs of vinyl in a world of 7.5 billion folks buying records…

First 94 LPs are on red vinyl. The rest of them on classic black for you purists and traditionalists. Includes 2-sided insert with photos, flyers and lyrics. Comes with digital download of EP plus recording from a 1988 demo.

Thanks

Happy Hunting
